Port Moresby Nature
Park has found a means of combining education and fun by utilizing engaging
games such as scavenger hunts, crosswords, and quizzes. The games have been
designed to inform tourists about the unique wildlife, fauna, and conservation
practices in Papua New Guinea in an entertaining way.
Senior department
staff Esther Hulum explained the main goal is to create fun and memorable
conservation learning. “Through the games and learning activities, we hope to
create curiosity, active participation, and facilitate visitors—especially
children—to have a stronger connection with nature,” she stated.
The activities
recently gained appeal with school groups, opening environmental education to
more people as well as allowing students to learn through collaboration and
exploration.
